TRUFFLE – PRIVACY POLICY

• Full name, age, and gender.
• Mobile number and email address.
• Profile photographs and facial biometric data collected during AI verification.
• Information provided in your invite application form, including your personal description.
• Subscription and payment status (processed via Google Play Store / Apple App Store — we do not store payment card details).

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers).
• App usage data (login times, features accessed, session duration).
• IP address and approximate location (city-level only).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Verify your identity and authenticate your profile through our AI facial verification system.
• Review and process your invite application through our human review panel.
• Operate, maintain, and improve the Truffle platform.
• Enforce our Terms of Use and community guidelines.
• Communicate with you regarding your account, subscription, and platform updates.
• Maintain gender balance and platform quality standards.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Facial Biometric Data

Truffle collects facial biometric data as part of our AI-powered verification process. This data is used exclusively to verify that your profile photograph matches your real identity and to prevent fake profiles. We do not use facial data for any other purpose. Facial biometric data is stored securely on Microsoft Azure servers and is subject to strict access controls.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your personal data is stored on secure Microsoft Azure cloud servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, access controls, and regular security audits to protect your data from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

We do not share your personal data with any third-party services, analytics tools, advertisers, or marketing platforms.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as required to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will permanently delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or to prevent fraudulent re-registration following a ban.

6. Your Rights

Under applicable Indian data protection laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request permanent deletion of your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent for processing where consent is the legal basis.

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your Truffle account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion, all your personal data including profile information, photographs, facial biometric data, and messages will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, subject to the exceptions noted in Section 5.

8. Children's Privacy

Truffle is strictly for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18 years of age. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will immediately suspend and delete their account and associated data.

9. Third-Party Services

Truffle does not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with third-party companies or individuals, except as required by law or as necessary to operate the platform (such as cloud infrastructure provided by Microsoft Azure). All infrastructure partners are bound by strict data processing agreements.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as applicable.
